Through my research projects I attempt to answer questions about the migration of urban expats such as:

• Who are these individuals that leave their home countries and what motivates them to do so?
• Where do they go and why?
• What are their lives abroad like?
• What is their perception of their experience and the impact they’re having on the countries and cities involved?
• How does living as a “foreigner” affect their identity?
• What does this phenomenon teach us about contemporary society, and how is it affecting current social, cultural and economic trends?
